I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the ABQ Volunteers Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-1-19.

Arnold Sanchez is a bilingual nonprofit and social enterprise executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across multi-site retail, workforce development, and community impact organizations. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, where he oversees statewide retail and mission-driven program operations.
Before returning to New Mexico, he served as CEO of Sortworthy, a textile recycling company operating across North America and Europe, and prior to that as COO of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, where he grew annual revenue from $54 million to $98 million in two years. Earlier in his career he held a Vice President of Operations role at Brook Valley, a for-profit thrift and logistics company with $250 million in revenue and operations spanning four continents.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Urban Ministries and Leadership from Liberty University, where he earned a 3.98 GPA and graduated with High Distinction. He is a graduate of Leadership Orlando and the Central Florida Political Institute, and holds a certificate in board governance from Rollins College. Arnold is motivated to serve locally to bring his operational and nonprofit experience to decisions that improve quality of life in the Albuquerque region.
A resident of Council District 6, Dr. Arnold Sanchez will fill a vacancy and serve as an At Large Representative; their first term will expire on April 18, 2027.
