Approve settlement payment for property loss claim to building floors of the County and Courts Office Building located on 720 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
This loss occurred on March 11, 2026, at the County and Courts Office Building, located on 720 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC. A water leak from a water fountain supply line caused damage across multiple building floors. Mitigation efforts have been completed, and repair work is currently underway.
Risk Management is requesting a settlement claim for a total of $73,884.32 to cover cost associated with water restoration, asbestos testing and debris hauling.
