b) Comments by Malcolm Jones, Attorney for Badger Construction, Chris Fore, Beau McMurphy, applicant for zoning map amendment and conditional use permit
c) Darrell Hughes, Paula Woodside, Christopher Mallow, Gervis Parkerson, Angel Fortenberry, and Jeanette Taylor, opponent for the conditional use permit
After a full discussion the Board adopted an ORDER denying the appeal and affirming the Planning Commission's decision to deny the Zoning Map Amendment & Conditional Use Permit filed by Jason W. Wooten, P.E. for Badgers Construction, LLC requesting approval to change the zoning district classification of a 77.6-acre parcel of land. The properties are currently zoned as an A-1 (General Agriculture) District. The request is to change the zoning district classification to the R-1 (Low Density Residential) District for the purpose of developing a 53-lot Type III single-family residential subdivision as shown on site plan. Residential subdivisions require a Conditional Use Permit from the Planning Commission. The subject property is located at XXXXX Firetower Rd. The ad valorem tax parcel numbers are 0209 -15-029.000, 0209 -15-010.000, and 0209 -15-005.001
