Staff Summary * In December 2025, Community Development staff received applications for eligible affordable housing programs and projects. * PY2026 AHP funds total $540,000 for subrecipient activities and $60,000 for program administration. * Subrecipient funding recommendations include: o $141,497 to Community Partners for Affordable Housing o $143,503 to Pivotal Development, LLC o $100,000 to Lake-McHenry Habitat for Humanity o $90,000 to Youth Conservation Corps. o $50,000 to Coalition Legal o $15,000 to YouthBuild Lake County Body RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Lake County has appropriated funds under the Lake County Affordable Housing Program (AHP) to increase affordable housing opportunities to residents of Lake County; and WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Commission, having reviewed and approved these AHP funding recommendations, is recommending approval by the Lake County Board. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the 2026 AHP grants totaling $540,000 are hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Board Chair or their designee is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents including grant agreements, lien releases, loan modifications, lien subordinations, and other administrative documents necessary to carry out the AHP projects.
