Background: The subject property contains a 2,160 square-foot single family residence constructed in 1979 and is located on the corner of Queen Palm Drive and 30th Street. The residence was constructed on the property at an angle leaving 32? from the structure to the northern property line.
The applicant is requesting the workshop be constructed seven-feet (7') from the side property line to allow ample space between the two structures. With the addition of the workshop all development on the subject property will remain below the maximum impervious and building coverages permitted.
Adjacent property owners were notified of the request on June 28, 2019; staff has not received any objections.
Land Use Compatibility: Constructing additional storage and work space is common in residential neighborhoods.
