This ordinance is submitted pursuant to Charter Section 4.100.1(e) passed at the November 5, 2024 election as part of Proposition E, which established the Commission Streamlining Task Force and authorized it to introduce ordinances concerning the elimination, consolidation, or revision of appointive boards and commissions. The ordinance will take effect 90 days after introduction unless, within that 90-day period, two-thirds of the members of the Board of Supervisors vote to disapprove it. In addition to the draft ordinance, please also find attached a legislative digest for the ordinance, drafted by the City Attorney’s Office, and the Commission Streamlining Task Force’s Final Report, transmitted to the Clerk of the Board on January 30, 2026, by the Charter-mandated deadline defined in Proposition E.
